Be able to participate in face-to-face or telephone conversations on familiar topics
Be able to use appropriate reading strategies for understanding unfamiliar reading texts
Be able to write short summaries of reading passages and story writing on familiar topics
Be able to use relatively comprehensible pronunciation and stress patterns
Be able to learn information-seeking skills and strategies necessary to prepare for presentations, role plays, debates and discussions
Be able to develop your public speaking abilities by giving you opportunities to speak in class, both informally and formally
Review the grammatical forms of English and the use of these forms in specific communicative contexts, which include: class activities, homework assignments,
Get familiar with native speaker dialogues in their everyday life
Be able to learn and use chunks, collocations, phrasal verbs( up to 250+ words) in real conversations
Assessment
Assessment is continuous throughout the course via classroom assignments & feedback sessions, learners are formally tested with Booster achievement test at the end of the course.
Course Completion requirements
Students must have at least 80% attendance (10 roll calls out of 12) to get certificate.
Students must successfully complete the following online practices:
Vocabulary [up to 200 words].
Students must take periodic assessments for speaking and listening, pronunciation, and vocabulary using the online platform. Feedback from the teacher will be given in the face-to-face sessions.
Students must take the Explorer Achievement Test by the end of the course.
